Chapter 26 - THE MONEYJulian officially inherited the Cross Legacy Trust.

Four hundred eighty million dollars had grown to nearly six hundred million.

He stared at the figure.

Then said:

“That is disgusting.”

Dorian looked offended.

“It’s also impressive.”

“You don’t own it.”

“I can still appreciate compound growth.”

Julian transferred seventy percent into the independent foundation.

Twenty percent went into restitution funds for victims of Cross-linked criminal activity.

Ten percent remained in a legally supervised family trust.

“For Elena?” I asked.

Julian shook his head.

“For everyone after us.”

“What does that mean?”

“It means nobody gets enough money at eighteen to become an idiot professionally.”

Dorian nodded.

“Good.”

Julian stared at him.

“You received a Ferrari at eighteen.”

“Yes.”

“And crashed it.”

May you like

“Exactly.”

For once, inherited money became something other than a weapon.
