Chapter 21 - THE HONEYMOON BETGrace refused a private island.

James suggested Italy.

Grace accepted.

Then discovered he had booked an entire villa.

She stared at him.

“You rented the whole thing?”

“Privacy.”

“There are twelve bedrooms.”

“We have options.”

“For sleeping?”

James's expression changed.

Grace immediately blushed.

“Don't.”

“You asked.”

She threw a pillow.

Their honeymoon became a competition.

Who could make the other blush first.

Grace won breakfast.

James won the elevator.

Grace won during a museum tour by whispering something into his ear that made him walk into a velvet rope.

The guard stared.

Grace apologized in terrible Italian.

James whispered,

“You're evil.”

She smiled.

“You married me.”

“Best bad decision I've made.”

That evening they sat on a balcony overlooking Florence.

No board meetings.

No investigations.

No fear.

Grace rested against him.

“Happy?”

James kissed her hair.

“Embarrassingly.”

“Good.”

Then she stole his dessert.

James stared at the empty plate.

May you like

“Marriage was a mistake.”

Grace laughed.
