Chapter 8 - THE BETRAYAL
The letter revealed everything.
Richard had killed Alexander Moretti.
He had stolen Moretti money.
He had manipulated Vivian.
He had arranged Julian's accident.
But one final secret remained.
Dante had known part of it.
Years ago, his father had told him Evelyn might be connected to the Morettis.
Dante had kept investigating.
He had never told Evelyn.
She felt betrayed.
“You knew?”
“I suspected.”
“You knew enough to investigate me.”
“I was trying to protect you.”
“You don't get to decide what I deserve to know.”
Dante's face hardened.
“I was afraid I'd lose you.”
“You already did.”
She walked away.
Dante didn't stop her.
Because he knew she was right.
Meanwhile, Vivian confronted Richard.
“You lied to me.”
Richard slapped her.
“You were always useful because you were weak.”
Vivian stared at him.
“No.”
She smiled through her tears.
“I'm not weak anymore.”
She secretly recorded his confession.
Then sent it to Julian.
Richard discovered it.
He ordered his men to find her.
Vivian ran.
She reached Evelyn's location.
But she was followed.
Gunfire erupted.
Vivian was shot.
Evelyn caught her before she fell.
“Why did you come back?”
Vivian whispered:
“To give you the truth.”
She handed Evelyn a phone.

Richard's entire confession was recorded.
Then Vivian collapsed.
